Every morning I walk from my home in this little town of Joseph, Oregon, up to this beautiful lake.

Rain, sleet, or snow I journey up to the lake's basin and then hike up the steep east moraine. At the top is the most spectacular 360° view. I have been a witness to some of the most breathtaking sunrises and everyday I see some form of wildlife, whether it be a fox sunbathing on a rock or bald eagles soaring.

I often take my camera to try to capture some of these special moments but am usually so captivated myself that I just enjoy the moment.
